Hi.

I’m Heidi.

A board-certified health coach (NB-WHC), Martha Beck, Wayfinder life coach, Mind Body Green, functional nutrition expert, and a woman navigating midlife myself. I'm also a wife, mom to two remarkable young women, a pet mom, a nature lover, a collector of cool rocks, and a human.

I started my interior design career in Santa Barbara, California, in the early 90s, spending over a decade working with clients who wanted their spaces to feel like them again.

Eventually, I made my way to Bend, Oregon, where I founded Society West Design, my own interior design and build company. For over 20 years, I worked alongside clients to understand what wasn't working in their space and helped them create something that felt right again. Over and over again, I noticed a pattern. When clients came to me talking about interior changes, the conversation almost always connected back to something deeper, an internal feeling they couldn't quite name.

They were using their homes as a starting point for something much more significant: a desire to feel more like themselves, to create a life that actually fit who they were becoming.

That realization led me inward. And Society North was born.

It Starts Within

As I moved into midlife myself, I started asking the same questions my clients always had: what isn't working, and what needs to change?

The difference was that this time the answers weren't about furniture or floor plans. They were about identity, energy, purpose, and what comes next.

That's exactly what I help women work through now.

My biggest takeaway after all those years?

After all those years? It's not always about changing your surroundings. Most often, it's an inside job.

As we age, things change, and that's okay. It's also okay to intentionally redesign what isn't working anymore. That's not failure. That's evolution.

Now I help women in midlife get clear on who they are now, and redesign what comes next.
